Trading Holiday Notice: Ganesh Chaturthi – 27th August 2025

The Indian stock exchanges BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange) have declared Wednesday, 27th August 2025 as a trading holiday on account of Ganesh Chaturthi.

 

On this day, there will be no trading activity across the Equity Segment, Equity Derivatives Segment, and SLB (Securities Lending & Borrowing) Segment.

 

Similarly, in the Currency Derivatives Segment and Interest Rate Derivatives Segment, trading will also remain closed.

 

In the Commodity Derivatives Segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment, there will be a morning session holiday. However, trading will resume in the evening session from 5:00 PM onwards, as per the regular schedule.

 

This holiday is part of the list of stock market holidays for 2025, released by the exchanges at the beginning of the year. Investors and traders are advised to take note of the holiday and plan their positions accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
