📢 Index Derivative Lot Sizes Revised from April 25, 2025 as per SEBI Guidelines

As per SEBI's circular (SEBI/HO/MRD-PoD2/CIR/P/2024/00181 dated December 30, 2024), NSE has revised the lot sizes of certain index derivative contracts to meet the mandated minimum contract value of ₹15 lakhs.

📌 Important Notes:

  • Lot sizes for contracts expiring on April 24, May 29, and June 26, 2025 will remain unchanged.
  • The July 2025 expiry (July 31, 2025) will be the first monthly contract with the revised lot size.
  • All quarterly contracts traded from April 25, 2025, will reflect the revised lots.

The government has set a floor price of ₹104 per share for the IRFC offer for sale (OFS), with retail bidding opening on February 26, 2026, following non-retail participation on February 25. The Centre plans to divest up to a 4% stake in Indian Railway Finance Corporation, potentially raising around ₹5,430 crore at the indicated price. Meanwhile, IRFC shares slipped to a two-year low of ₹104.52 on the NSE.
