In simple terms, a shareholder holding one share with a face value of ₹10 will effectively have two shares with a face value of ₹5 each after the split, subject to the company's applicable corporate-action terms.
What does a stock split mean for investors?
A stock split divides an existing equity share into shares of a smaller face value. Since BLSE E-Services is reducing its face value from ₹10 to ₹5, the number of shares held by an investor will increase proportionately.
However, a stock split does not by itself increase the total value of an investor's holding. The market price is generally adjusted proportionately on the relevant date. What changes immediately is the number of shares and the per-share face value.
Companies may undertake stock splits to make individual shares more accessible and potentially improve liquidity in the market.
BLSE E-Services Stock Split Effective Date
The BLSE E-Services face value split will take effect from October 6, 2026. Investors holding or tracking BLSE shares should keep the date in mind and check their holdings for the corresponding corporate-action adjustment.
