Rights Entitlements listing in August 2025

When a company wants to raise money, it sometimes gives its existing shareholders a special offer called a rights issue. If you already own shares of that company, you will receive something called Rights Entitlements (RE) in your demat account.

These REs are not actual shares. They are like special coupons that give you the right to buy more shares of the company at a fixed price. You can use these REs in two ways:

Apply for rights shares – use the RE to buy extra shares.

Sell the RE in the market – if you don’t want to buy more shares, you can sell your RE to someone else.

The REs are only temporary. If you do nothing, they will automatically expire after some time, and you will lose this special right.

The REs listed in the month of August 2025 are the ones you can see and trade in the stock market. This listing period is short, so shareholders must decide quickly whether to buy more shares or sell the RE.

In short: REs are an opportunity, but you must act before they lapse.
