Ongoing Buybacks - September 2025

A buyback is when a company buys back its own shares from the stock market or from existing shareholders. The company uses its money to reduce the number of shares available in the market. This usually increases the value of the remaining shares and shows that the company has confidence in its own future.

The table below reflects the ongoing Buybacks in September 2025.

Buyback

Example:

Bajaj Consumer Care has announced a buyback offer.

  • Buyback start date: 11th September
  • Buyback end date: 17th September
  • Buyback offer price: ₹290 per share
  • CMP: ₹223 per share (as on 12 Sep 2025)

It means the company is ready to buy back shares from investors at ₹290, which is much higher than the current price of ₹223 per share.

So, if an investor participates in the buyback and their shares are accepted:

  • They can sell to the shares at ₹290 instead of the market price of ₹223.
  • This gives them a chance to earn a premium of ₹67 per share (₹290 – ₹223).

After the buyback, the total number of Bajaj Consumer shares in the market will go down. As a result, Earnings Per Share (EPS) may increase, and this could benefit the investors who continue holding shares.

Note: -

  • You can apply for the buyback only till 1:00 PM on the last date mentioned in the schedule.
  • Your buyback order will be sent to the Exchange only on the closing day of the buyback.
  • You must hold the shares in your demat account until the buyback is completed to be eligible.
  • An online buyback order will cost ₹20 + GST as charges.
  • After placing a buyback order, you cannot sell those shares in the market.
  • The buyback order window will open one day before the closing date at 6:01 PM and remain open till 1:00 PM on the last day.
  • Orders will be accepted only till 1:00 PM on the final day of the buyback.
  • Pledged shares or T1 holdings (shares not yet settled) will not be considered for the buyback.
