- Voltamp Transformers Limited was incorporated on March 2, 1967 as 'Voltamp Transformers Private Limited' in Ahmedabad
- Subsequently, the Company was converted back to a Public Company as 'Voltamp Transformers Limited' on February 06, 2006
- In 1970, the Company commenced the manufacturing of transformer upto 10,000 KVA, 66 KV for utilities and industrial clients
- In the year 1981, it commenced manufacture of 132 KV Class Transformer and in 1986, it started manufacture of 50 MVA, 132 KV Class Power Transformers
