- The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company Limited (UNITEA), a part of seventy four year old Chamraj group company was incorporated in August, 1922
- The Company is primarily engaged in growing and manufacture of Tea besides Letting-out of property
- The Company's teas are sold both in domestic and international markets
- Apart from producing Green and Black Teas, the company also produce and markets Herbal Tea, Aroma Tea, Flavoured and Iced Tea
- As part of the Amalgamations Group, UNITEA has always had at its helm farsighted leaders who dared to follow the path less travelled
- The best illustration of this would be the experimentation with Organic Teas, as early as 1994
- Nestled 6000 to 8000 feet up in the pristine blue mountains of Southern India (Nilgiris) are Allada, Korakundah, Devabetta, and Chamraj tea estates of the United Nilgiri Tea Estates & Company Limited, producing the finest of teas to invigorate discerning tea drinkers around the world since August, 1922
