  • Amal Limited was initially incorporated in July, 1974 as 'Amal Rasayan Limited'
  • In January, 1996, Amal Rasayan changed its name to Amal Products Limited and again to Amal Limited on November 25, 2003
  • The Company manufactures bulk chemicals such as Sulphuric acid and Oleum and their downstream products such as Sulphur dioxide and Sulphur trioxide at its manufacturing site at Ankleshwar
  • These chemicals find their use in several industries like Dyestuff, Fertiliser, Personal care, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Textile, etc
  • The manufacturing plant of the Company at Ankleshwar has an installed capacity of 140 tons per day of Sulphuric acid
  • Amal was promoted by Piramal Group in 1974-75; the controlling interest of the Company was sold to Atul Ltd in 1985-86
  • The company has implemented various projects which includes a multi-purpose modern EOU to manufacture bulk drugs in Pardi, Gujarat
  • It has also set up an oleum / sulphuric acid and a bulk drug project
  • The company implemented projects to manufacture oleum and 1200 tpa pigments in Ankleshwar and expanded the existing capacities of the Ankleshwar and Roha units
  • A project to manufacture synthetic yarn is under active consideration

Financial results for the year ended March 31, 2025 Dividend: 10% (? 1.00 per share) Book closure: August 16, 2025 to August 22, 2025 The Board of Directors in their meeting held on April 18, 2025, recommended a final dividend of 10% (Rs 1 per share) for the year ended March 31, 2025, which is subject to approval of the members at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on August 29, 2025, accordingly the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books shall remain closed from August 16, 2025 to August 22, 2025 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of ascertaining the eligibility of the members to receive dividend. The record date for the said purpose is to be considered on August 14, 2025. After the approval by the members at the AGM, date for payment of dividend will be on or after September 03, 2025.
